Mimo Privacy Policy
Mimo: Daily Self Care helps you keep small daily intentions, moods and a few words with a companion. It needs no account, and your personal records stay on your device.
1. Summary
- No Mimo account, sign-in, advertising, third-party analytics, or tracking.
- Names, intentions, moods, your own words, diaries, saved diaries and seven-day recaps stay on your device. We do not receive them.
- Diary writing is optional and runs on your device; your records are never sent to a model server.
- Mimo has no cloud sync of its own.
2. Information stored on your device
Mimo stores your companion's name and your name, the intentions you choose and when you complete them, moods, the words you write, diaries and their saved copies, recaps, journey stories, and your preferences (language, sound, haptics, motion, waking hours and diary time). This information is used only inside the app to show your progress and write your diary. It is not transmitted to us.
3. Optional offline diary resource
Diary writing needs an offline resource (about 533 MB) that you choose to download. The file is served from Alibaba Cloud Object Storage Service in mainland China, which receives your IP address and the ordinary request information needed to deliver the file. No personal records are sent with the download. After you turn the diary on, writing happens on your device at the time you choose; the operating system may run it later. Generated text can be inaccurate, and your original records always remain available. Removing the resource does not delete your diaries.
4. Purchases
If Mimo offers an optional one-time content pack in your region, payment is handled by the App Store or Google Play under their own terms. To confirm a purchase, the app sends the app and product identifiers, store environment, the store's purchase proof and a request identifier to Mimo's purchase service, which checks it with the store and returns the content right. We keep the purchase state and store notifications for as long as needed to restore the purchase, handle refunds, and meet tax and accounting obligations. We never receive card numbers or payment passwords, and no diaries, intentions or moods are sent to this service. Proof stored on your device is protected by the iOS Keychain or Android Keystore and excluded from backup.
5. Research builds
The public version of Mimo does not include research recording. Separate test builds given to invited adult participants include an optional research tool that starts off, records only limited action categories on the device after explicit consent, and never uploads anything automatically. Participants can preview, export or withdraw at any time; withdrawal requests for files already shared can be sent to privacy@suiwise.com.
6. Backups, deletion and your choices
You can delete individual diaries in the app; this also removes their saved copies and affected recap text. Deleting the app removes its data from the device. On iOS, app data may be included in device backups you enable through Apple; Android app backup is turned off. Because we do not hold your personal records, we cannot view, export or restore them for you.
7. Who Mimo is for
Mimo is intended for adults and is not directed to children. It is a self-care companion, not a medical or mental-health service. If you are in crisis, contact local emergency services.
8. Changes and contact
